The leakage of My Hero AcadeKaren chapter 400 started trending on social media platforms on September 13, 2023. But all for the wrong reasons.
In MHA chapter 400, there is a panel depicting Toru Hagakure, also known as the Invisible Girl, completely naked after a glitch in her powers.
Hagakure’s psychic powers make her completely invisible and she often refrains from wearing clothes so as not to be detected and completely invisible to her enemies (and readers).
However, in the latest chapter, the ‘glitch’ mentioned above prevented her powers from working, ultimately revealing her naked body to readers.
A section of fans MHA was outraged to see this, especially considering that Hagakure was only about 16 years old. These disgruntled fans continued to criticize manga creator Kohei Horikoshi for Hagakure’s nude depiction, calling him a ‘pedophile’ and a ‘coward’.
Just a comment made to incite fans and light a fire?
One twitter user wrote that there was no reasonable way to explain the glitch in Hagakure’s abilities and that Horikoshi “just wanted an excuse to show her naked”.
Meanwhile, another group of fans felt that the outrage over Hagakure’s depiction was a bit excessive and that some people were just overreacting. Such depictions are very common in the shounen genre and have been done by many authors before.
Some people even think that the image of Hagakure in chapter 400 is very cute and adorable.
