Jujutsu Kaisen fans can now reserve a collectible statue of Megumi Fushiguro and his cute frog friends.
Available through Crunchyroll’s store, the figurine shows the young wizard in training gear with a pair of winged toads at his feet, their purple tongues extending skyward. This item refers to Megumi’s The Well’s Unknown, an aspect of his Ten Shadows Technique. The collection is scheduled for full release in late November and retails for $38.99 USD.
Of course, the Megumi statue above isn’t the only new Jujutsu Kaisen product on which fans can spend their hard-earned money; Notably, Asmus Collectible Toys has revealed a special line of collectibles inspired by many of the characters from the series. The company’s unique creation of Megumi and her classmate Nobara Kugisaki is now available for pre-order on Sideshow. Furthermore, Loungefly has announced a new collaboration with the dark fantasy series and will sell a small off-white backpack highlighting the undisputed King of Curses himself – Ryomen Sukuna.
Furthermore, Jujutsu Kaisen fans continue to buy copies of Gege Akutami’s ongoing manga; in fact, Vol. 1 and Vol. 20 recently earned the top spot on the New York Bestseller Graphic Books list. The Jujutsu Kaisen manga debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018, and the latest chapters seem to suggest that the story may soon come to an end.
The story follows Yuji Itadori, an athletically gifted high school student who is recruited by a group of Jujutsu Mages after he swallows Sukuna’s withered but powerful finger. He becomes a first-year student at Jujutsu High along with Megumi and Nobara, and all three teenagers train under Satoru Gojo – user of the Six Eyes technique and the world’s strongest sorcerer.
Studio MAPPA adapted Akutami’s manga into an anime. The first season of the show first aired from October 2020 to March 2021, quickly becoming a cult hit. The season not only did well with fans but also brought home many prestigious awards such as Anime of the Year and Best Villain at the 5th Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen premiered in July 2023 and is also achieving the same success as the previous part. For example, Tatsuya Kitani’s “Where Our Blue Is,” the first opening theme of Season 2, was voted the best OP of the summer 2023 lineup.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
