There's a collab headed our way that promises to be more successful than Yosemite In Black's performance at LCY. Fresh off a recent collaboration with Nijisanji VTuber Hoshikawa Sara, Oshi No Ko's MEM-Cho appears to be preparing to team up with another much-loved VTuber. The official Oshi No Ko X (formerly Twitter) has all but confirmed that a possible collaboration between MEM-Cho and Usada Pekora is on the horizon!
Based on the official Collaboration Visual Teaser, we can pretty much guess that this YouTuber taking the quiz is none other than Simon Whistler
Coming to a computer near you at 6pm JST on May 13, MEM-Cho and Usada Pekora's upcoming collaboration video, if true, will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you can be Kawaii after 18 years old and those kids will be watching to see the two Christmas cakes doing quite a bit of work. Friendly reminder MEM-Cho is 27 and Hololive's Pekora is 111.
Let's say you clicked on this link because you've seen Pekora and don't know who MEM-Cho is. Well, she is Oshi No Ko's resident YouTuber and the idol in the revived version of B-Komachi, which was Ai Hoshino's legendary idol group that has now been revived by her daughter Ruby.
Together and with the power of friendship (spelled hot), Ruby, MEM-Cho and actress Kana Arima – world famous as a child actress who can lick baking soda like (snaps fingers) – place goal of world domination through idol activities. Or something like that. Watch the anime for the real explanation.
The new and improved B-Komachi just stands there, menacing.
With huge success, Doga Kobo's adaptation of Aka Akasaka's manga Oshi No Ko did for the anime world what an asteroid did in the Cretaceous period — it completely changed the landscape.
Sometimes, an anime gets over-hyped and leaves everyone disappointed. It's been over-hyped here, and that's because everyone and their chunchunmaru are talking about it. Oshi No Ko gave such a raw performance that even the suicide warning had to be put on screen and if you see that, you know that things have become real.
