Mashle Season 2 Episode 8 Review and Summary – Innocent Zero Vs Wahlberg
Today’s episode is definitely one of the most intense and best episodes in the series. The makers are slowly raising the bar and I’m really happy with the outcome of Mashle Season 2. We begin as Innocent Zero crashes the tournament and reveals a groundbreaking secret. Apparently, Mash is his son, the one he needs to become the perfect human being.
He will use Mash and perhaps absorb his power to make himself immortal. And it was for this reason that he came here to kidnap the son he had abandoned or lost long ago. But apparently, his time-stopping magic has no effect on principal Wahlberg, who challenges Innocent Zero to a one-on-one battle because no one else can keep up with him. This is when a full-blown brawl begins and Wahlberg releases several key people from Easton who are able to take down the other villains while he fights the innocent Zero himself.
This episode is definitely the best one when it comes to fighting. Here, we see every important character have powerful magical powers at their peak, defeating evil forces left and right. And once again, the humor was not lost in the episode. The scene where Dott and Lance turn into babies is hilarious. They cannot use magic and must babble incoherent words in serious situations, making a tense fight a matter of joking.
We also get some background information about Innocent Zero and the world of this anime. How magic started and who founded the Academy, everything is answered. But what remains unclear is Mash’s apparent lineage. How could he be Innocent Zero’s biological son, and if so, what was he doing with his current grandfather? These are some questions that need to be answered. Hopefully we’ll get all the information in the next episode.
Judgment>
I enjoyed this episode because we saw the perfect balance between action and humor. The animation is also great, combined with some very nice background music. I’m especially excited for the next episode because the ending of this episode ended on a rather unpleasant cliffhanger.
We finally get to the point in the story when the real villain appears so we can expect awesome but dangerous things. So without further ado, check out this series.
