Review and recap of episode 3 of Mashle Season 2 – Becoming a Visionary God
Right from the beginning of the episode, we see Margarette fighting with Rayne. Margarette demonstrates her strength by resisting all of Rayne’s attacks. He even explained that the only reason Margarette didn’t sign up to be a divine visionary was because he didn’t like the label or the post. As someone who is searching for true power, he is not interested in the position of a divine visionary. During the fight, he is confident that he can come out on top and defeat Rayne.
But what he does is that Rayne is likely the most magically powerful mage in the entire school. I was very impressed with how Rayne was revealed, and I really didn’t expect him to offer such an interesting fight. We see that even though Rayne tries to portray that he doesn’t care, it’s good to see that he cares about Mash and hopes that Mash can change society like he promised.
Even though the outcome of the war did not come to a proper conclusion, I believe there will be a second part where we will witness in future episodes that Margarette is concerned about the power of Rayne. These two actually made the first half very enjoyable, as even the animations between battles were great.
But that doesn’t mean the second half was bad. The second half promises a good next episode as Mash will now enter the competition to become a divine visionary.
Even though he has no power, he still earns 7 coins, and maybe this is why he gets the way he does. The most hated contestant in the competition. Amid all the booing, he still stood firm even though he admitted he really wanted to return home. But that won’t stop him or his friends who also entered from being able to win the entire tournament.
Identify
I really liked this episode because the action was good and the animation was good. Now that the competition of divine visionaries has begun, we can expect great things from this anime. Mash will face more challenges than ever. I’m also sure that Margarette isn’t done with Rayne yet, and he will definitely clash with him again.
The humor here also works, especially in a board game where the game actually predicts a very grim future for all the funny characters. This episode was definitely better than the previous two episodes of this season. And I hope they continue this pace in the future as well.
