After 13 years, Noragami: Stray God revealed that they will release the final chapter on January 6, 2024. The manga’s upcoming ending was announced in a recent chapter in the December issue of Kodansha’s monthly magazine Shonen Magazine.
According to author Adachitoka’s notes, the upcoming Chapter 109 will conclude the manga’s story with a total of 45 pages and a special color page. They also announced a temporary suspension of one issue. Therefore, the January issue of the magazine that will be released on December 6 will not have a new Noragami chapter.
The “final part” of Noragami begins with Volume 26, with Chapter 100. Kodansha describes the story’s plot as follows:
Yato finally reaches Yukiné and takes him back from Crafter, but danger still lurks ahead. Meanwhile, Ebisu and Takemikazuchi arrive on an island and find a modest temple hidden there. There, the two get closer to knowing the truth behind the reincarnation of a god…
Noragami: Stray God is a manga written and illustrated by manga artist duo Adachitoka. Noragami began serialization in 2010 in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine, while Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in 2014. There are 26 compiled volumes, with Volume 27 also published first. It was the final volume of the manga. An anime adaptation was produced by Studio Bones in 2013 and its sequel, Noragami Aragoto, in 2015. The anime also has four original animation DVDs (OADs) and features original story sequences not included in the manga. Crunchyroll airs the series and describes the plot:
Yato may be just a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he has a plan. Unfortunately, things don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a temple dedicated to him, his partner just quit his job and now he has to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
