The manga has more than 17 million copies in circulation

The official Twitter account for Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (Sōsō no Frieren) manga announced on Friday that the manga has had an additional 7 million copies in circulation since the anime’s debut. The manga currently has more than 17 million copies in circulation.
The series previously went on hiatus and returned to serialization in March 2024.

The adventure is over but life goes on for an elven mage who is just starting to learn the meaning of life. The elven mage Frieren and her brave companions defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But Frieren will live longer than the rest of her old group. How will she understand what life means to those around her? Decades after their victory, the funeral of one of her friends causes Frieren to confront her own near-immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill his teammate’s last wish and finds himself starting a new adventure…
The television anime The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End premiered with a two-hour special on September 29. This is the first time the television anime series will premiere on NTV’s “Kinyō Roadshow,” a Saturday night program. Six is usually reserved for feature films. The anime then began airing the following episodes on October 6 at 11 p.m. JST in NTV’s new anime timeslot,”FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT.”The anime will run for two consecutive seasons (a quarter of a year) until March 2024. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs and is also streaming English dub version.
Yamada and Abe launched the ongoing manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020. The manga has won several awards, including the New Creator Award for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award 25th annual Manga Taisho in 2021 and the 14th Manga Taisho Awards in 2021. Additionally, the manga was nominated in the Best Shōnen Manga category for Kodansha’s 45th Annual Manga Awards in 2021 and won 46th award in May 2022. The American Library Association’s Comics & Graphic Novels Roundtable (GNCRT) included this comic series in its list of the 10 best graphic novels of 2022 for Adults Read.
