Naoya Kitagawa, star Shuya Sunagawa will perform in Tokyo from January 26 to February 4
Akaza Samamiya’s Bloody Mary manga will be performed on stage at Kokumin Kyosai Coop Hall/Space Zero in Shinjuku from January 26-February 4. The play stars Naoya Kitagawa as Bloody Mary (pictured above) bottom left) and Shuya Sunagawa as Ichirō Rosario di Maria (right).

Viz Media’s Shojo Beat imprint licensed the series and describes the story:
“Bloody”Mary, a vampire with a death wish, spent 400 years chasing a modern-day exorcist named Maria, who was said to have inherited “Maria’s Bloodline” and was the only can kill Mary. To Mary’s dismay, Maria does not know how to kill a vampire. Desperate to die, Mary agrees to become Maria’s bodyguard until Maria finds a way to kill him.
Samamiya began the series in Kadokawa’s monthly Asuka magazine in November 2013 and ended it in February 2017. The manga was released in February 2017. a spin-off one-shot in March of that year. Kadokawa published the manga’s 10th and final volume in March 2017. Viz Media released the 10th volume in North America in March 2018. The manga received a drama CD in 2015.
