A recent update from G Fantasy magazine's Twitter account revealed that the Black Butler manga will suspend publication following the release of the monthly magazine's August 2024 issue.
A statement from Black Butler mangaka Yana Toboso, shared by G Fantasy, said she would be taking a “long break from maintenance,” though she added that this period would also include research and preparation for the climax of story.

Toboso debuted in 2004 with its 9th one-shot, and Black Butler began running in 2006. She noted in the statement that she's managed to get through these 20 years without a break (and also without seriously ill) thanks to the enthusiastic support of fans.
Toboso ends by saying she will return in “best condition” and hopes readers can wait.
The dark fantasy manga published by Square Enix currently has 34 tankoubon volumes. The latest installment of the anime adaptation, Black Butler: Public School Arc, began airing in April.
Yen Press describes the manga as follows:
Just a short distance from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Count Phantomhive, whose owner is Ciel Phantomhive. Count Phantomhive is a titan of commerce, a loyal servant of Queen Victoria… and one fell swoop of a twelve-year-old boy. Luckily, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is always by his side, ready to carry out his young master's wishes. And whether Sebastian is called upon to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London's underworld, there's practically nothing Sebastian can't do. In fact, one might even say that Sebastian is too good to be true… or at least, he's too good to be human.
