Pizza Huts in Japan is participating in a series of special campaigns to promote the Lycoris Recoil anime.
As detailed on Anime News Network, Pizza Hut Japan is releasing special merchandise featuring Chisato and Takina’s artwork in Pizza Hut polo shirts and red and black polka dot skirts. In this three-part campaign, those who choose to participate in various promotional activities will have the opportunity to win QUO gift cards, folders, and other items featuring the series’ iconic duo. The event begins on June 16 and will end on July 23.
For the first part of the campaign, all those who follow the official Pizza Hut Japan Twitter account and retweet the announcement message with the appropriate hashtag will be entered to win the gift card The 2,000 yen (about $13.85) QUO features the aforementioned promotional image. Only ten of these gift cards will be available for the duration of the event. The second campaign has a much larger total reward, as the first 30,000 customers who order online or through the Pizza Hut app will receive an A4 sized folder. Unlike gift cards, these folders can have one of four different covers, showing promotional artwork or collages of different scenes from the anime.

For the final part of the campaign, customers who order 1,000 yen (about $7.00) or more via the website or app (while using a special coupon code) will have a chance to win one The two-part set includes one of two possible acrylic standees and one of two B2 size murals. The standees are about 18 cm long, while the murals measure around 19.7” x 27.3, which is considered average by standard measurements. Pizza Hut Japan is also offering a special “recommended” pizza from Chisato and Takina, half “Premium Margherita” and half “Formaggi four melted cheese”.
Lycoris Recoil is an original animated work by A-1 Pictures (Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, Sword Art Online). The plot of the series revolves around an all-female secret crime-fighting organization named Lycoris. One day, the most powerful agent of the group, Chisato, meets Takina Inoue, a fellow agent who was kicked out of headquarters for disobeying orders. Together, they set up shop at LycoReco, a branch disguised as a typical coffee shop. Here, the couple takes on a variety of tasks, from serving coffee and delivering goods to fighting terrorists and giant monsters. While Season 1 ended in September 2022, A-1 Pictures announced a sequel to the series with a short teaser trailer earlier this year. However, an official release window has yet to be revealed.
