Warning: Spoiler for One Piece Episode #1072Luffy Unlocked 5th gear just the beginning of A piecebattle at its best, and episode #1072 proved with its epic animation and pacing that the anime is just getting started. The previous One Piece episode disappointed a portion of One Piece viewers with recycled animations and questionable pacing issues, but the second episode focuses on Kaido battling the new Gear 5 transformation. Luffy’s improved many bugs of episode #1071 to create one of the best episodes of the series and most action episodes.
Now that the introduction to Luffy’s new form is done, One Piece episode #1072 can focus only on the final battle of the Wano part. The latest episode has proven to be one of the most entertaining of the series thanks to its moments that saw Luffy change his environment and opponents in ways that are easy on the eyes, funny and epic that are both familiar. just fresh. While the anime kicks off Kaido’s epic battle series in the spring of 2022, the seemingly invincible Emperor is finally starting to show signs that he can lose to Luffy.
One Piece #1072 is a continuous scene in the animation of Gear 5th
Kaido fought the world’s strongest Samurai, many members of the worst Generation of Pirates, his son Yamato and Monkey D. Luffy on the night of the Onigashima Raid. But it wasn’t until Luffy awakened his Devil Fruit and unlocked Gear 5 that the captain of the Beast Pirates finally regained his breath. However, it means Kaido is in trouble because throughout his years, Luffy has done things against Kaido that no opponent has ever done before, inflating him like a balloon fly or treat his Mountain Breaking Dragon form as a jump rope.
As the battle progresses, Yamato and Momonosuke investigate the fight, only to be greeted by a giant Luffy exploding through the clouds to attack Kaido. After a few brutal counterattacks, Kaido subdued Luffy’s Gear 5, who lost his strength after it was revealed that his new transformation had exhausted him; that’s when Kaido fell to his knees. Both of One Piece’s strongest warriors held their breath and regained their composure before delivering the eye-catching and suspenseful ending of volume #1072, an enhancement to Eiichiro Oda’s manga.
One Piece’s Second Gear Volume 5 is better than Manga
Episode #1072 benefits from not having to provide other key plot points, like Kozuki Hiyori’s pivotal moment against vile Orochi in the previous volume. The flashback doesn’t slow down Gear 5’s second episode. Instead, some anime-only moments make Luffy’s much-anticipated upgrade better than the manga. Moments like Luffy’s massive Kaido jump that affects the atmosphere and Luffy manipulating large areas with rubber stones to jump in between to attack Kaido are not originally present in the manga. They effectively showcase Gear 5’s scale and capabilities in ways that the manga doesn’t.
The first episode featuring Luffy in action using Gear 5 didn’t live up to expectations thanks to the high standards that many episodes of the Wano season had set before. However, episode #1072’s incredible pacing and action sequences improved many of the complaints in the previous episode. Since the second episode of Gear 5 vs Luffy’s Kaido isn’t the final battle yet, the team at Toei Animation may have big plans for the epic finale episodes of Luffy.
