The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim has revealed a new preview image in collaboration with this year's Anime Expo. As previously announced, the film will open on December 13 in North America and December 11 worldwide.
Kenji Kamiyama (Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Eden of the East) will direct the film. The film's cast includes:

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim follows the story of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary king of Rohan, who was named after the fortress Helm's Deep. Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou are writing the script. Screenwriter Philippa Boyens, who worked on the original trilogy, is consulting. Sola Digital Arts is animating the Blade Runner: Black Lotus series, which is also based on a classic work of literature.
The War of the Rohirrim is unrelated to Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series, which premieres in 2022.
The film was first announced in 2021. The first look took place at the Annecy International Film Festival today.
