The story revolves around Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a guy who seems to go unnoticed in class. After witnessing popular girl Anna Yanami being rejected by her childhood friend, Kazuhiko begins chatting with Anna.

In July, the light novel series’ official Twitter account announced plans for an English release, but the English publisher was not revealed.
Amamori published the first volume of the novel series in July 2021 under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko light novel imprint, featuring illustrations by Imigimuru. The sixth novel is scheduled for release on December 18, and the series won the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award in 2020.
