Review and summary of episode 12 of Villainess level 99: Yumiella Kicks Ass
In the previous episode, we saw Yumiella and a group of characters thinking they were strong enough to take down the demon lord, the leader. final battle. When it seemed like the whole war with the demon lord was only going to be salvaged in the final episode, I was concerned that things might be a bit rushed. And I was right, the ending was quite rushed, as we saw too much in one episode with one basic explanation.
Yumiella reaches the demon lord's castle, which previously seemed inaccessible to anyone. And as usual, everyone else, besides Yumiella, was completely useless in the fight. None of them could last even a second against the villain, and they were taken out quite quickly. Even Alicia's famous light magic, which became a beacon of hope while fighting the demon lord, didn't do much more than just light up the room.
Patrick is the only one who does his job properly, even though he does so without standing before the demon lord. As the person in charge of fighting the monster army, Patrick is more than enough to deal with. He is a good commander and even used his magic to fight a black dragon.
The demon lord's background could have had more impact if it had been properly defined. But again, it's not thoroughly explored and we only hear a story about how he was deceived when he was young, which motivated him to seek revenge on humans.
What surprised me was the sudden comedic turn towards the end when Yumiella, sensing things were going according to the game, decided to handle the crisis with the help of her knowledge of the game. play your own. She treats her peers Alicia and Edwin as characters in the game, and even monotonously guides them to their happy ending. This part was really surprising and I liked the idea more than the final battle itself.
Identify
This episode was a kind and warm ending to a generally good anime. The journey is entertaining and humorous at times so I don't have much to complain about the series as a whole. But the ending disappointed me, because the final battle could have been better. It really feels like the producers just wanted to wrap up the entire anime within 12 episodes. But yes, we do get a happy ending, which will give you enough reason to watch this movie because overall, it's a good movie.
