Crunchyroll and Kodansha are teaming up to release an exclusive manga anthology for Initial D.
According to Crunchyroll’s official website, Kodansha is republishing Shuichi Shigeno’s classic racing manga with a new series of commemorative covers for each respective volume. First Omnibus Compilation Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of Initial D, features orange foil-stamped artwork of the AE86 Trueno, the car that main character Takumi Fujiwara drives in the series. The new version also includes an updated English translation. The bus is currently available for pre-order through Crunchyroll’s online store. However, due to licensing/shipping restrictions, it can only be shipped to residents of the United States or Canada. Practice. 1 is scheduled to hit shelves on March 19, 2024.

In addition to the upcoming Original D film, a new live-action adaptation is currently in preparation.
