Summary
Jutsu are various chakra manipulations in Naruto, ranging from healing to destruction. Kinjutsu are forbidden techniques with various dangers, often affecting the user's life. Kinjutsu use is contextual in Naruto, reflecting the complexities of morality and social reactions.
NarutoThe 'jutsu system encompasses an incredibly wide range of powers. From the medical jutsu practiced by Tsunade to the deception techniques of Kakashi to the raw destructive power of Naruto's Rasengan, It is hard to imagine anything that magic cannot do.. The basic principle of jutsu is the manipulation of chakra to release energy that can be used in many different ways. Jutsu are techniques that can be learned and taught, recorded on scrolls, or passed down by teachers. They can also be created from scratch.
Within the vast scope of techniques, there is one that is extremely important: kinjutsu, or “forbidden techniques.” Naruto himself frequently uses an extremely powerful kinjutsu technique to create multiple Shadow Clones. Several kinjutsu techniques play a pivotal role in the plot throughout Naruto’s long run. However, there is one major problem: it is never explicitly stated. What exactly is kinjutsu and how is kinjutsu modified (if at all).
What is “Kinjutsu”?
Kinjutsu includes many dangerous techniques.
Kinjutsu, simply put, are techniques that are forbidden to be taught. Their “forbidden” status technically extends to their use as well, but in practice, The use of a forbidden technique is rarely condemned.Context is important, and while forbidden techniques can be terrifying and their use can take shinobi by surprise, it is the context that determines how people perceive the use of forbidden techniques.
A technique can be banned for a number of reasons. The main concern is danger. Some techniques require a huge amount of chakra to perform and can be dangerous to the user; others require the life of the user or others to be effective. On top of that, wanton destruction or violations of the laws of nature can also result in a technique being banned. There is a lot of wiggle room. Kinjutsu is not a strictly legal category, but rather a standard that promotes responsibility, care and prudence.
Because there are no rules, clans and villages can have their own ideas about what constitutes kinjutsu: the Uchiha clan banned Izanagi. Some things that are not technically kinjutsu (like Might Guy and Rock Lee's Eight Gates) can be considered kinjutsu. The ability to perform kinjutsu can make it acceptable, like how Naruto escaped the Clone Technique multiple times because he could use it safely. On the other hand, new dangers may ban it again:Tsunade forbids Naruto from using the Rasenshuriken, a technique that uses multiple shadow clones, because it requires chakra and damages the body.

Is it bad to use Kinjutsu?
Kinjutsu is Grey in Nature – And Very Necessary
Kinjutsu can be considered an open secret, often taught to those who can handle the knowledge responsibly (or stolen by bad guys). While kinjutsu can cause great conflict, they can also provide strategic advantage and can create big difference in combat. Many villages and clans maintained knowledge of various types of kinjutsu, either passed down or hidden in scrolls. No one was ever under the impression that kinjutsu would never be used, but the kinjutsu title and ban were an attempt to limit and control their use.
Take morphine as an example. In the hands of knowledgeable and careful people, morphine can save lives or at least significantly reduce suffering. If used carelessly, it can cause major problems, being used to poison people and killing those who need it. Yet it is considered a global need and the economies of many countries and the pharmaceutical industry would collapse without its production and use. As a society, it is commonly believed that morphine is banned not because of its inherent danger but because of the power it can have.
In some cases in Naruto, the use of kinjutsu has been beneficial. After all, the entire series is rooted in kinjutsu: Minato Use a forbidden seal to contain KuramaThe Nine-Tails, inside Naruto – an act hailed as heroic, defining the legacy of the Fourth Hokage. However, kinjutsu is also at the root of some of Naruto's most harrowing situations and oppressive enemies. One can see Deidara's devastating bombs from a forbidden technique that allowed him to mold his chakra into clay, or the resurrection technique that Kabuto used to set up the devastating Fourth Shinobi World War (and with which Orochimaru established a defense by resurrecting the past Hokage).
What happens if a Shinobi uses Kinjutsu?
Using Kinjutsu is handled based on context
The deep reverence for kinjutsu that causes villages and clans to maintain them is also the reason they suppress their use.
If a shinobi uses kinjutsu, then as mentioned earlier, the context often determines the response. However, it should be noted that there is no governing body that punishes the use of kinjutsu alone. Kinjutsu can be used to do things that are considered criminal, but They themselves are often not perceived in the same way.. Their use can certainly be forbidden or even dangerous, but individual use is hardly the parameter the Naruto world uses to determine how to handle kinjutsu users.
This power is highly regarded; for example, it caused Sunakagure to abandon his research into reincarnation. Kinjutsu is recognized as important and precarious. The deep reverence for kinjutsu that drives villages and clans to maintain it is also what drives them to discourage its use. There is no single authority on the use of kinjutsu, and control depends on the legal and social discretion of the societies and parties involved in its use.
A village or clan may exile or punish a shinobi who uses kinjutsu – or honor them. Given the great cost to them, using kinjutsu inappropriately or rashly can lead to an untimely and senseless death. Ultimately, Shinobi have a code of honorAnd even if a malicious kinjutsu user is not punished by a major authority, they can still make enemies among their fellow shinobi – potentially fatally.
It is this contextual element of kinjutsu that makes them interesting. Kinjutsu reflects the theme of Naruto. Although forbidden, they have no “good” or “bad” value in and of themselves, and the use of forbidden jutsu in appropriate contexts can even be praised. Much like how Naruto avoids having characters that are purely good or evil and instead shows the context behind each friend or foe, the more light-hearted approach to kinjutsu reflects a prohibition simply to remind the check when it is being evaded. With kinjutsu, Naruto demonstrates the ethical complexity and demonstrates the compassionate and thoughtful approach it wants to spread around the world.
