Kingdom Season 5 has revealed its main trailer and the anime is scheduled to premiere on January 6, 2024. Studio Pierrot and Signpost are doing the animation. The new trailer showcases DeNeel’s “Shirubebi (Guiding Fire)” opening theme song, and you can check it out below.

Kingdom Part 5 – Anime main trailer
Kenichi Imaizumi will return to direct the series, while the returning cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Sei Ei/Ying Zheng, Masakazu Morita as Shin Ri/Li Xin and Rie Kugimiya as Karyo Ten/He Liao Diao. The previous cast announcement was released in November and included Toshiyuki Morikawa, Daisuke Hirakawa and Koji Ishii. Novel Core will perform the ending theme song “RULERS”.
Kingdom is based on the best-selling manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2006. The manga has not yet been licensed in English.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series and describes the plot as:
Shin and Hyou are war orphans in the Qin kingdom. They dreamed of proving themselves on the battlefield until the day Hyou was captured by a general. The boy escaped and returned to his village, but he was seriously injured. Shin then meets a mysterious young man who bears an uncanny resemblance to Hyou—a boy who will one day become emperor!
