The February 2024 issue of Kadokawa’s Gundunda Ace Magazine revealed on Monday that Kazuhisa Kondō’s Mobile Suit Gunma 0079 Episode Luna II manga will end in the magazine’s next issue on January 26.
Kondō launched the manga in Gundunda Ace magazine in November 2022. The manga tells a previously untold story from Kondō’s Mobile Suit Gunma 0079 manga.
Kondō is known for manga set in the Common Century timeline of the original Mobile Suit Gunma, as well as for its military aesthetics and realism in its depiction of weapons and warfare in the gundam universe. He drew the 12-issue Mobile Suit Gunma 0079 manga adaptation of the original anime, as well as an adaptation of the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam manga. He also drew the manga Sidestory of gundam Zeta, depicting a different beginning from Mobile Suit Zeta Gun. Additionally, he also drew and wrote Mobile Suit Vor!! and the comic Operation Buran UC0079.
Kondō launched the MS Senki Reboot manga in July 2017. The series reboots the previous MS Senki: Kidō Senshi Gunden 0079 Gaiden manga with art by Kondō and story by Masaya Takahashi, serialized in Kodansha’s Comic BomBom magazine from 1984 to 1985.
Kondō launched the original Mobile Suit Gunma: The Revival of Zeon manga in Kadokawa’s Newtype 100% Comics in 1988, and launched the Mobile Suit Gunma: New Revival of Zeon manga in Gundunda Ace magazine in 2010.
Kondō’s best recent work, the manga Mobile Suit Gunma: Zeon no Saikō Shinshō Remnant One (The Revival of Zeon: Remnant One), debuted in Gundade Ace in January 2020 and ended in July 2020. 2022.
