Kanaria, a famous Japanese musician known for her Vocaloid songs, has officially launched her official VTuber model. They first introduced the model on August 23, with the first broadcast introducing it taking place the following day. You can check out their first VTuber broadcast below:

In addition to this debut, Kanaria also recently released a new song titled “NeverFiction” featuring vocals from Hololive talent Hoshimachi Suisei. Kanaria’s VTuber model was designed by LAM, a popular illustrator who has designed many VTuber models including Nijisanji’s Kuzuha and Vox Akuma, Hololive’s Kureiji Ollie, and the independent VTuber Kujo Ringo.
Kanaria rose to fame with the song “King,” which was released in August 2020 and is one of VTuber’s most popular covers. They have also released two albums, King (2020) and Kanaria.code (2022). In November 2022, they released “Dainoteki-na Rendezvous,” which was used as the ending theme for the sixth episode of Chainsaw Man, “Denji Kills.” Kanaria also wrote the song “Champion,” the final song for the Pokémon collaboration with Hatsune Miku.
Many Japanese characters have ventured into VTubing. Japanese mangaka Bkub Okawa, known for the Pop Team Epic series, debuted his VTuber on June 21, 2022. Many voice actors have also ventured into VTubing. In 2021, Magic Knight Rayearth voice actress Hekiru Shiina debuted as a VTuber named Hekiru Shiina. Mayu Iizuka, who voices Airi Eniwa in CUE!, revealed that she is VTuber Yume Kotobuki and has been doing so for three years. Shu Uchida revealed his own VTuber in February 2023.
