However, as he did so, the Kaiju bug that had given Kafka the power took control of Kafka and forced him into a state like a mad warrior.
In his berserk state, Kafka becomes a much more formidable opponent as he utilizes his regenerative abilities and is generally unrestrained, and soon Isao is on the losing side of the fight. The onlookers question why Isao did not kill Kafka in his human form, and Kikoru realizes that Isao secretly tested Kafka to see if he could control his powers. However, it seems that Isao's hopes are unfounded, and Kafka slowly takes action to kill people.

Kafka's Last Stand is the focus of the epilogue.
Even after entering a state of madness, Kafka Hibino was still aware of everything that was happening as he tried and failed to regain control of his body. However, as Kafka was about to kill Isao, Kafka finally regained control of his body and stabbed himself in the heart. to save Isao's life. Kafka reaffirms that he is Kafka Hibino, not Kaiju No. 8, one last time before passing out, and while General Narumi and the 1st Division want to finish Kafka off, Isao demands that Kafka receive medical attention before they do anything else.
How Kaiju #8 Ended Its First Season
Sometime later, Kafka wakes up in the hospital with Isao by his bedside and a large scar on his chest where he stabbed himself. After Kafka expresses relief that he did not kill Isao, Isao states that no human could survive a wound like the one Kafka inflicted on himself, proving that Kafka is now a Kaiju and no longer human. However, Isao states that Just because Kafka is a Kaiju doesn't mean he's an enemy.and he even said his name for the first time to emphasize that.
In a flashback before Kafka wakes up, Isao and the other higher-ups had another meeting where Isao declares that Kafka will continue to fight as a soldier and will not be turned into a weapon.. Almost everyone else was against the idea, but Isao pointed out that if more Daikaiju were to appear, they would need someone like Kafka to fight alongside them. That, along with Mina's glowing testimony of Kafka's humanity, caused Kafka's execution to be postponed, which everyone in the 3rd Division celebrated while Kafka simply fell asleep with a smile.
While all of this was going on, Kaiju No. 9 was revealed to be hiding in the city and had become more intelligent, even taking first place in the rankings of an online chess group. Feeling that he now understood human intelligence, Kaiju No. 9 Reveals Plan to Attack the Defense Forceand with that he took on a new form and also seemed to have cloned himself for more support.
The Biggest Plot Points Kaiju No. 8 Part 2 Needs to Resolve
The final episode of Kaiju No. 8 left many plot points open.
Kaiju No. 8 season 2 is officially in development, and there are certainly a lot of plot points that need to be addressed. Naturally, given the blow that season 1 ended with, these include Kaiju No. 9's upcoming attack on the Defense Forcein addition to the new powers that Kaiju No. 9 and his clones may possess. The trailer for season 2 has hinted that this will be the main focus of season 2, so hopefully it won't be too long before the show delves into that.
Another point that needs to be mentioned is the idea of Kaiju being turned into weapons. Kafka and Isao's fight gave a much clearer picture of what turning Kaiju into weapons would entail with the suit made from Kaiju No. 2, so Kaiju No. 8 season 2 will pick up where season 1 left off and Show more weapons made from Kaiju. That would help enrich the world and could even be an easy way to power up the rest of the cast, so it would be great if season 2 continued to pursue that.
The biggest plot point that needs to be resolved is what happened to kafka He has now been exposed as Kaiju No. 8. With everyone outside the Third Division seeing Kafka is nothing more than a Kaiju, Kafka will need to do a lot to make people believe that he is trustworthy, starting with him needing to have better control over his powers. That will definitely give Kafka a great character arc in Kaiju #8 season 2, and how strong Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 is over, there are a lot of reasons to look forward to it.
