Kaiju No. 8 Anime and Manga Design Don’t Compare
Twitter user MangakaSelim uploaded a side-by-side comparison of Kaiju No. 8 with anime. On the surface, the characters in the manga seem to be more mature and gloomy than in the anime. Anime characters also have a more circular design, instead of the angular look of the manga. Some characters in the series have also been slightly redesigned for the anime, such as Reno Ichikawa no longer having pointed hair. Although the quality of the anime art style for Kaiju No. 8 is subjective, but the differences between it and the source material are enough to cause concern among longtime readers.
