Many of Sanrio’s Anime and Manga collaborations create popular original merchandise
This collaboration marks the first time Sanrio has created items themed after Gege Akutami’s hugely popular Season 2 anime, though certainly not the first time it has created products themed after the anime Generally speaking. Sanrio has previously collaborated with popular series such as My Hero Academia and Neon Genesis Evangelion, creating clothing, toys and other merchandise that feature similar crossovers based on those shows. The company also offers a line of products based on its own original anime series, Aggretsuko, which features a red panda obsessed with heavy metal.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a popular shounen franchise about a high school that focuses on teaching students to use the dark energy within them, known as “cursed energy,” to fight against poisonous curses. Evil is born from human negativity. Teenager Yuji Itadori finds himself entangled with the all-powerful Ryomen Sukuna, an antagonistic force that he must completely stop before he can escape Yuji’s body and wreak havoc on humanity.
The anime series is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, while the manga is licensed by Viz Media in North America.
