Jujutsu Kaisen has a large cast of characters, but not all of them have a major role in the story. In fact, readers believe that some characters are given too much importance without any worthwhile appearances.
Popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters like Toge Inumaki and Panda have been criticized for not appearing in the final season, but Uraume is considered the most “pointless” character of them all.
First appearing in the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, Uraume is Sukuna's servant from the Heian period. She is completely loyal to the King of Curses and fought alongside Kenjaku for a time, to witness Sukuna's reincarnation in the modern era.
Uraume is one of the strongest ancient sorcerers, he kept Hakari at bay throughout the Shinjuku Showdown arc. However, Uraume's ending was a huge disappointment, as he decided to commit suicide after Sukuna died in chapter 268.
This led Jujutsu Kaisen fans to criticize Uraume for having no impact on the plot, as we never got to see the outcome of Uraume's evenly matched fight with Hakari.
Furthermore, fans know nothing about Uraume's personality, except for her absolute loyalty to Sukuna. All of this combined has made Uraume despised by the Jujutsu Kaisen fan community.
One fan mocked Uraume, saying: “What's the purpose of having Uraume be Sukuna's lackey? What purpose does this idiot have other than to ruin Sukuna's entire 'solo dolo' process?”.
“Uraume's goal is to prevent Hakari from having any involvement in the finale”another joked.
Another wrote: “Gojo was supposed to finish off Uraume in chapter 223. This person didn't play any role in the final arc anyway. Gege can't let Gojo succeed even once in his life.”
While Uraume was criticized, fans also criticized Sukuna's death in chapter 268. But fans were satisfied with the reunion of the main trio after so much carnage and tragedy.
