Warning! Contains reveal for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter #225!
The latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen shows tribe deal a blow to the seemingly unreachable joyous, but there’s actually a plausible explanation for this easy-to-miss hit. Although many of the techniques and battles in the series involve the complex workings of Cursed Energy, mangaka Gege Akutami has always made sure that these battles can be understood on a highly technical level. This level of precision and care helps the reader understand why Sukuna was able to pierce Gojo’s Curse Technique and make the shot more pleasing to the eye despite the dire consequences it could have on the body. the heroes of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Much of chapter #225 has its climax in Gojo and Sukuna’s battle, with both expanding their Domain. While it seemed like a balance fight at first, Yuji noted that Gojo had previously implied that the enemy’s Domain Expansion’s surefire attack would be able to hit him. Of course, this would require Sukuna to trap Gojo in their Domain Expansion, which is difficult given his will and large amounts of Cursed Energy. However, Sukuna’s Domain Expansion isn’t really deterred by barriers, which allows it to go beyond the limits of Gojo’s Domain Expansion and attack it from the outside. This allowed Sukuna to finally brutally attack Gojo.
Sukuna’s destructive blow against Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen makes sense
This is particularly impressive given Gojo’s near-invincible normal abilities outside of Domain Expansion. Gojo’s inherited Infinite Cursed Technique allows him to use infinity to his advantage, preventing anything from touching him. He can also use this Infinity control to unleash powerful destructive attacks and teleport. His additional cursed technique Six Eyes also allows him to deal with his Cursed Energy extremely efficiently, effectively giving him an unlimited amount of energy. Gojo’s domain expansion is also absurdly powerful, being able to overload an enemy’s brain and let Gojo attack them at his leisure. With all of this, Gojo seemed invincible, but Sukuna found a great way to do it.
Sukuna previously used a technique called Domain Amplification to try and neutralize Gojo’s technique. The idea behind this is that Sukuna will create a neutral energy field into which Gojo’s technique will automatically overflow. It’s great to see Sukuna use this technique to win, especially since it prevents him from using other Cursed Techniques, but it’s more gratifying to see Sukuna break through outside of Gojo’s territory. After all, the weakness of External Domain Expansion was established in Jujutsu Kaisen when Yuji broke into Mahito’s to save Nanami.
Understanding the power of Jujutsu Kaisen makes Gojo vs Sukuna better
While Jujutsu Kaisen’s combat and power systems can be extremely confusing even if the techniques themselves aren’t some of Shonen Jump’s most ridiculous things. Understanding the intricate mechanics of the Jujutsu Kaisen can also make seemingly impossible moments like Sukuna attacking Gojo despite his Infinite abilities more relatable. While the attack on Gojo is devastating, this may not be the end of his fight with Sukuna, which means that understanding their fight will only be more important to him. Jujutsu Kaisen fans go forward.
