The award-winning anime TV series Jujutsu Kaisen has officially been named “the world's most in-demand animated TV show” according to a new certification from Guinness World Records. It takes its title from Attack on Titan, which has held the title since 2020.
Guinness World Records' announcement and decision were based on statistics from data science company Parrot Analytics, which noted that Jujutsu Kaisen had a global demand rating 71.2 times higher than the average. television program commentary.

The studio pointed out that the show's surge of late has pushed its popularity beyond that of other franchises. New episodes of the second season are released starting in July 2023 and continuing until the end of the year, with demand for the show increasing during this broadcast period. The anime peaked on December 29, 2024, with demand 128 times higher than normal movie demand, as the anticipated “Shibuya Incident” spin-off was being adapted.
Generation Z, which includes ages 13–22, makes up 71.3% of Jujutsu Kaisen viewers, resonating with younger audiences more than One Piece (56.7% Gen Z) and Attack on Titan (64, 4%).
Parrot Analytics calculates “demand” based on the attention, engagement, desire and viewership expressed by consumers for content. Furthermore, actions that require more effort on the part of the consumer, such as watching or downloading a program, will be given more weight when calculating demand.
