It’s been several months since Jujutsu Kaisen’s beloved Satoru Gojo died in a battle between the strongest. Since the beginning of the series, Gojo has been hailed as “the strongest witch alive.” He has enough talent and strength to deserve that title.
No other witch or villain can come close to touching him (literally). However, even the mighty Satoru Gojo is no match for the strongest wizard in history, Ryomen Sukuna. The battle of the strongest ends with the most tragic outcome.
However, the sorcerers don’t have time to grieve because they have to stop the Curse King. After the change in POV, fans realized Takaba’s technique has the ability to bring the dead back to life. However, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 243 extinguished the last hope of Gojo’s revival. Warning: this article contains spoilers Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 243 coming soon!
Why can’t Gojo’s resurrection happen in Jujutsu Kaisen
Although Kenjaku’s fate is unknown, at least he can no longer use Geto’s body. On the other hand, Takaba sacrifices himself so that Yuta can sneak up on Kenjaku and deliver the final blow. Takaba thanks Kenjaku as the latter grins and calls him funny. However, suddenly, Yuta appears from behind and decapitates Kenjaku.
As Kenjaku’s head was chopped off, he wondered how he hadn’t noticed Yuta’s presence since he had so much cursed energy. However, the villain received his answer the next second when he saw Takaba smiling with his eyes closed. Takaba’s real goal has always been to act as bait and create an opportunity for Yuta to deliver the final blow. Before he breathed his last, Kenjaku said that his “will” would be inherited.
Fans believe Takaba could be the key to Gojo’s revival as his “Comedian” technique can alter reality as he sees fit. He can summon objects or matter from nothing and cure himself without using the Reverse Curse Technique.
That means Takaba can even recover from fatal wounds without using Reverse Curse Energy. In Chapter 173, the narrator explains that Takaba’s abilities are capable of rivaling even Satoru Gojo’s – which is a bold statement considering that Gojo was the strongest wizard of his time.
However, now that Takaba may be dead, the last hope of Gojo’s resurrection is gone. Gege Akutami could hardly revive a character he killed so brutally. However, since Jujutsu Kaisen is famous for its unexpected twists, anything can happen before the series ends.
