Jujutsu Kaisen shared his first look at the “Shibuya Incident” through character images.
The trailers for Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen so far only show what fans can expect from the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” season, not what the second season of the season will offer. Along with the release of the second PV for Season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen also revealed eight characters for the “Shibuya Incident” season. These include the main trio Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, Panda, Kento Nanami and Satoru Gojo will also appear in this part.
In “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu”, Jujutsu Kaisen will take fans back to 2006 when Gojo Satoru attended Tokyo Jujutsu High as a sophomore. However, the school is not very peaceful when the teacher assigns him and his friend Suguru Geto the task of escorting Riko Amanai, Star Plasma Vessel, to Master Tengen to unite. The arc will see the battle between Gojo and Toji Fushiguro and Gojo and Geto, failing when the two’s ideals differ, sending them into opposing paths.
The “Shibuya Incident” arc includes over 50 chapters from the Manga
After the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” section, the “Shibuya Incident” will return to the present time and focus on a specific date: October 31, 2018. On this day, Mahito, the villain is introduced. introduced in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, will team up with other witches as they launch their plan to seal the Gojo. Since Gojo is known by many to be the strongest wizard in the world, sealing him would deprive the wizarding guild of its strength and defenses. This arc will also see a number of significant character deaths. It is unclear whether the second season will adapt the entire “Shibuya Incident” as it includes more than 50 chapters from the manga.
MAPPA adapted Gege Akutami’s successful manga in October 2020, airing 24 episodes until March 2021. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the first season has won several awards, including Anime by Sunghoo Park. year at the Crunchyroll Awards and Best TV Anime at the Newtype Anime Awards. Park went on to direct the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and grossed over $196 million worldwide. Shōta Goshozono will replace Park as director for Season 2.
