Episode 4 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will be released on July 27, 2023. The beloved Anime Studio MAPPA releases weekly episodes every Thursday on Crunchyroll.
Here’s a list of the specific times that the fourth episode is expected to arrive, depending on your time zone:
Pacific Time (PT): 9am Mountain Time (MST): 10am Central Time (CST): 11am Eastern Time (EST): 12am UK Time (BST): 5pm European Time (CEST): 6pm India Time (IST): 9:30pm
Episode 3 — “Hidden Treasure 3” — continues from the previous season that ended. It begins with Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Riko Amanai setting out to save the future maid, Kuroi, from being kidnapped. They rescued her so quickly that the episode transitioned straight to celebration, with the group enjoying their time at the beach. The Jujutsu high school students have finally returned to school with Riko and Kuroi, preparing for Riko’s assimilation with Master Tengen as the Star Plasma Ship. However, Gojo was suddenly stabbed in the back by the evil Toji Fushiguro before they could begin.
Geto quickly takes Riko and Kuroi away to complete the ritual while Gojo stays behind to fight the “Witch Killer”. However, Fushiguro overcame Gojo despite his immense strength, brutalizing the fan favorite with a series of stabs and slashes. Meanwhile, at the Tomb of the Corridor of Stars, Geto reveals that they are willing to help Riko escape her fate. She agrees after saying she wants to spend more time with her new friends before being shot in the head by the returning Fushigiro. The episode ends with Geto unleashing his Cursed Soul Manipulation and preparing to face him.
Jujutsu Kaisen, based on the manga by Gege Akutami, is one of the most popular modern animemanga properties. So far, the second season has been well-received by viewers, with fans interested in exploring the backstory of Gojo and Geto, which tells about their lives before Geto became a dangerous villain. This isn’t new ground for the franchise as JJK explored their relationship before in the long-running prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. However, the “Gojo’s Past” section did give audiences more insight into their time as witches together.
The series has a prominent place in the industry thanks to its association with Chainsaw Man and Hell’s Paradise. These attributes have been linked as the Shonen Shadow Trilogy, thanks to the use of Shonen genres combined with violence and horror. Each manga has received a critically acclaimed adaptation from Studio MAPPA, with Chainsaw Man slated for a Season 2 debut and Hell’s Paradise also slated to return soon.
The next episode — “Hidden Inventory 4” — will be available on July 27, 2023, on Crunchyroll. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Jutjusu Kaisen 0 are streaming on the same service. Comics are available to read via Viz Media.
