Jujutsu Kaisen will officially end at the end of this month.
It seems like the manga really owes the fans nothing, other than the safe return of Satoru Gojo before it officially wraps up. Jujutsu Kaisen has shocked fans many times, especially when it was revealed that the fight against Sukuna would be the final battle of the entire series. Now that the manga is coming to an end in just two more chapters, there are still many questions that need to be answered in some form.
With the battle against the Curse King Sukuna over, Yuji Itadori and the surviving sorcerers prepare for whatever comes next. Of all the character deaths that have occurred throughout the series, there is one death that feels like it could still be reversed, and that is the case with Gojo.
From the characters returning from extremely dire circumstances, and with Gojo's power, fans still haven't lost hope that Gojo can be revived before everything is completely over.
Is Gojo really dead?
The big question surrounding Gojo's fate remains: “Why do fans refuse to accept it when it's all over?”. Although many characters died in the fierce battles against Sukuna and other curses, their deaths were quickly confirmed. The same goes for Gojo, but fans still have a hard time accepting this death.
Gojo is such a prominent character in Jujutsu Kaisen that the fans' love for him even surpasses their love for Yuji. This may be why accepting Gojo's death in battle is a fact that fans can't really let go of. They just need to see Gojo come back no matter what.
Yuji and the others are heading towards a happy ending, which seems like a miracle after everything they've been through. Nobara Kugisaki returning in time to deal the finishing blow to Sukuna is a miracle, and Gojo returning before it all ends would be the same.
Yuji and the Jujutsu masters have been living in a world of death throughout the entire story (because even as a Jujutsu master, they know that they will die in their battles). So the fact that all of them, including Gojo, survive in the end would make for an even happier ending.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 269 May Have Clues Regarding Gojo's Return
Now, fans have found a clue regarding this in chapter 269. There is a small detail in the chapter that many might have missed.
On page 14, while the group of sorcerers are busy discussing the New Shadow Style, readers see a close-up of a clock. The time is 2:21, which seems random but could be a hint at Gojo's return. As some readers have noticed, Gojo was freed from the Prison Realm in chapter 221, returning to the story after 131 chapters.
So, the watch in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 could be a clue from author Gege Akutami, hinting at the possibility of Gojo returning in the next chapter. This seems even more likely after Yuta returned to his own body and the manga brought both Nobara and Higuruma back from the dead.
