Amidst the chaos of the manga's impending end, Gege Akutami's hit shōnen series Jujutsu Kaisen just announced a new compilation movie. Even though season 3 has already begun production, Jujutsu Kaisen still pleasantly surprised fans with the surprise announcement of a new film adapting one of the series' most underrated storylines.
According to a post on X by the anime's official staff, Jujutsu Kaisen will be Arc Adjust Hidden Inventory from season 2 into a compilation film set to in theaters in 2025. The announcement also comes with a new key visual for the film that incorporates several key moments from the Hidden Inventory Arc.
It has not been confirmed yet whether the film will be released in global cinemas like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 but it is likely to happen considering the positive reception and overall success of the latter. The team in charge of the project at MAPPA has also not been revealed.

Although the Hidden Inventory Arc is only five episodes long, it is arguably one of the most underrated arcs in the series, re-imagining Geto and his relationship with Gojo, thus setting the stage for the Shibuya Arc. This arc also expands Gojo's character significantly, adding a surprising amount of depth and complexity to him.
Despite its short length, five episodes is arguably perfect for a feature film and gives the opportunity to flesh out certain parts of the story like the trip to Okinawa. The film could also flesh out Gojo's fight against Toji in the same way the Blu-ray version of season 2 expanded and refined Sukuna's fight against Mahoraga. Overall, Jujutsu Kaisen The new compilation film could be the perfect opportunity for fans to re-experience the Hidden Inventory Arc before season 3 comes out.
