As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga draws to a close, fans have witnessed the defeat of the King of Curses.
Of course, taking down the strongest sorcerer in history is no easy task. During the long battle, the young sorcerers all contributed significantly to the battle. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 reveals that the sorcerers gathered together and discussed the aftermath of the battle. Yuta was still alive and his soul had returned to his body. It was thanks to Rika's continuous use of the Reverse Cursed Technique and Shoko patching up his severed body. Yuta had accomplished a feat that was nearly impossible.
Previously, although Todo had helped Yuta take Kenjaku's life, even with Todo's help, it was still not an easy battle. Afterwards, Yuta and Rika were not only responsible for dealing with the countless curses that were released after Kenjaku's death, but they also immediately joined the fight against Sukuna without any time to rest.
Yuji also mentioned Yuta's gauntlet, noting that thanks to Yuta, Sukuna was unable to expand his territory a second time. Yuta also helped Todo refine the vibraslap, which can replace the clapping activation condition by colliding a piece of metal with a wooden box, becoming a great help in battle.
Ui Ui joins the conversation and declares herself the MVP of the battle, but Kirara retorts, claiming that Ui Ui abandoned her halfway.
Hakari praised Yuta for not wasting time, helping the group stand in Rika to ambush Sukuna after Gojo was defeated and even separating Uraume from the Curse King in the first place. They had Yuta to thank.
So while there's no clear indication of who the real MVP is, most of the hype points to Yuta's accomplishments.
Many fans also acknowledge Yuta as the MVP of the Shinjuku Showdown Jujutsu Kaisen arc.
“Yuta was definitely the MVP. He fought Sukuna with Rika, swapped bodies with Gojo's corpse while Rika and Shoko protected his body…”one fan wrote.
Another person shared: “Okkotsu Yuta has definitely been confirmed as the second strongest sorcerer of the Modern Era. With no other rivals, he is the MVP.”
