Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 has revealed the final mission that Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara will undertake. The first-year trio has been through many ups and downs since the Shibuya Incident.
Previously, while Nobara's condition was unknown and Yuji believed her to be dead, Megumi's body was taken over by the Curse King. Now that Sukuna has finally been defeated and the trio has a chance to reunite, it seems like the manga will have a happy ending. However, the title of chapter 270 is 'The End of a Dream', seemingly hinting at the end of the main trio. A popular Jujutsu Kaisen translator shared that fans call Yuji (yu), Megumi (me), and Nobara (no) and they are a trio so the title “End of a Dream” also sounds like End of YuMeNo. However, many fans ignored this hint as it was lost in translation.
The translator added: “To be honest, I'm not relying too much on any theory, I'm just here to have a good time, but my feelings make me think of Gojo's dream of reestablishing the jujutsu world by nurturing students and jujutsu masters. It would be great if this chapter shows that dream coming true.”
Before the above information, a fan speculated: “Wait until we find out that it was just Tengen's dream and that's why Megumi's scar suddenly disappeared and why everyone suddenly came back to life except for those whose deaths Yuji witnessed with his own eyes.”
Of course, Jujutsu Kaisen fans also have their own interpretation of the meaning of chapter 270's title: “I understand it's the end of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara's journey since JJK will end next week. Do you believe in any specific theories for the final chapter?”
“An interesting fact. It's unclear whether it refers to a bad ending or a delusional dream state. I think it's probably more like the conclusion of the trilogy in the next chapter since it ends there.”another added.
Also, with the Jujutsu Kaisen manga ending next week, fans are hoping for a season 2 but Shonen Jump has not promised a sequel.
Even so, there are many fans who are still eagerly waiting for Jujutsu Kaisen part 2: “I really don't believe the final chapter of JJK is this week. I'm such a big believer in season 2 theories that if it doesn't happen, I'll be devastated.”
However, there are also many fans who believe that there will never be a part 2. One of them shared: “Those who thought there would be a part 2 must be having a hard time. It's clear that Gege is done with this story and it shows in the way he writes and in the number of times he's taken frequent breaks over the past few years.”
