Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga ended today with chapter 271, after six years of publication. The final two volumes, 29 and 30, will be released together on December 25 in Japan, while Volume 28 will debut on October 4. Fans who purchase the new issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will receive get a special postcard drawn by Gege Akutami, and next week's issue will include a chance to receive a holographic card featuring the manga's cover artwork.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga series has also surpassed 100 million copies in circulation since its launch in March 2018. In Japan, it is serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. VIZ Media has licensed it in English and the manga is also available on the MANGA Plus platform. The plot follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who accidentally discovers a hidden world of jujutsu witches who fight evil curses. VIZ Media also licensed the prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0, set several years before the events of the main manga.
An anime adaptation by studio MAPPA premiered in the Fall 2019 anime season. It was followed by a prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in 2021 and a second anime television season in 2023. The second season includes the Hidden Inventory/Early Death and Shibuya Incident arcs. Hidden Treasure/Early Death will also be the focus of the upcoming recap movie. A sequel to the Culling Game arc is currently in the works.
