Gojo is currently one of the most mentioned anime characters in the community. That’s because both manga Jujutsu Kaisen and the anime all focus on this character and not in a good way.
Without spoiling anything, let’s just say that Gojo doesn’t have a good time in the manga series and things are no different in the anime series either.
Kenjaku, Jogo and other curses are delaying their cruel plans against humans, and the only reason is that they fear Gojo. But now, with Gojo gone, every fan wonders what will be the fate of humans and other beloved characters. More than that, however, every fan wishes to know exactly how Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm.
How was Gojo sealed in the Prison Realm?
In the previous episode, we saw Jogo, Hanami, Mahito and of course Geto lead Gojo to the station. These curses know that Gojo is strong enough to kill them without breaking a sweat. So they trap countless people inside the station, not because they think Gojo will be affected in any way by seeing countless non-witches die, but to stop him unleashes his unlimited Void. On top of that, Mahito releases some shapeshifters onto the station to distract Gojo.
These curses know that if Gojo unleashes his Unlimited Void it will be their end. So they thought that if they surrounded Gojo with humans, he wouldn’t use this technique because the human mind wouldn’t be able to endure it. Gojo knew this too and he cast Unlimited Void anyway but only for 0.2 seconds. Being in the Unlimited Void for 0.2 seconds was enough for Gojo to render curses unconscious for a few seconds, and within 299 seconds, Gojo had killed about 1000 transformed souls.
However, Gojo didn’t actually win. As the sorcerer was breathing heavily after killing those souls, he saw a cursed object lying before him: the Prison Realm.
At the start of the episode, Geto explains that Gojo needs to be within 4 meters of the Prison Kingdom for one minute. At the time, it seemed like a daunting task; however, Kenjaku later revealed that the “One Minute” he was talking about was the time in Gojo’s brain, not the time in the real world.
Gojo sees the Prison Kingdom, but he cannot stay outside its radius because at the same time, Kenjaku appears behind him. Kenjaku is wearing Geto’s body, and since his beloved friend Gojo is dead, the sight of Geto shakes him to the core.
Gojo was clearly stunned after seeing Geto’s face after all these years, and when he realized that this wasn’t Geto the minute was over. In the end, Prison Realm got hold of Gojo. Afterwards, he stopped feeling any cursed energy and lost the power to move his body. So there is no way for Gojo to escape this situation.
