The latest Jujutsu Kaisen game adds an original villain
With previews already released in Japan and China, Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade is ready to make the rounds online with the latest updates. One of them involves a new villain named Oboro Zetsu, who was created specifically for the game. Zetsu is a Special Level Curse villain, with an aesthetic split down the middle of his body. This goblin-like creature has a darker and more demonic-looking side, giving him a sinister and eerie asymmetrical beauty. He also wore a spotted robe that looked as ragged and disheveled as the rest of him.
Zetsu possesses a cursed technique called “Bone and Fetus Treasure,” which allows him to remove the cursed technique of others and leave them helpless and largely defenseless. This technique is performed after Zetsu has obtained the target’s blood. However, beyond this, very little is known about Zetsu as the character is only available in video games so far. Furthermore, with Phantom Parade having been previously delayed more than once, it’s unknown what date it will release, although it is still expected to release in late 2023.

JJK is still one of the most popular anime franchises
Created by Gege Akutami, the original and ongoing Jujutsu Kaisen manga began publication in 2018. The series has become immensely popular, with this success (and the series’ dark content ) making it part of the “illuminated dark trinity”. The other two entries in this group are Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku and Chainsaw Man, many consider these titles to be the biggest manga and anime series today.
This awareness only increased with the release of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, which began in 2020 and continued to make waves with Season 2, especially thanks to the high quality of the fight scenes. Unfortunately, anime has also become increasingly controversial due to working conditions at MAPPA, a studio now notorious for many of the problems plaguing animators, including harsh turnaround times and negotiations. Payment is delayed.
Jujutsu Kaisen is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
