The situation in Shibuya continued to deteriorate. The recent Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 featured Nanami’s heartbreaking death. However, it’s impossible to predict what will happen because each episode has the situation getting worse and worse.
After Nanami’s death, Yuji fights Jujutsu Kaisen’s most hated villain, Mahito. Not only Yuji, even Nobara fought him. Even though it’s only twice the size of Mahito, it’s still extremely powerful.
Mahito realizes Nobara is Yuji’s friend, and killing her will cause Yuji to fall further into despair. The upcoming episode will continue with the battle between the young witches and Mahito. Dig deeper to find out what happens to Nobara in the Incident section Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya. Warning: This article contains manga spoilers!
Did Nobara Kugisaki die in the Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen?
Nobara’s death is still confirmed in the manga, but all hints point to her having died during the Shibuya Incident arc.
Any form of physical attack is useless against Mahito. However, Nobara’s Resonance can directly hit the target’s soul and body. This makes Mahito her natural enemy, just like Yuji. In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 19Nobara and Yuji will join hands to defeat a common enemy.
However, before long, Mahito grazed Nobara’s face. Nobara touches her face, and then the manga has a flashback to Nobara’s childhood in the countryside. The film also shows Saori wondering about Nobara’s situation. Nobara also reminisces about her days with Yuji, Gojo and Megumi. After the flashback ends, Nobara asks Yuji to tell everyone that “it wasn’t so bad” before collapsing.
Half of her face and head were destroyed so her injuries were certain to be fatal. However, at that moment, Aoi Todo and Aarata Nitta arrived at the scene. Arata’s technique allows him to stop her bleeding, but he cannot heal her. After giving her first aid, he took her for treatment as soon as possible. However, he could not feel her pulse and was not too confident that she would survive.
That was the last time the manga revealed her identity, so even though it’s been so many years, it’s still unknown what happened to her. It’s unlikely that Gege Akutami will bring her back at the end of this game, so Nobara definitely didn’t survive Shibuya.
