In the previously released Chap, we see that Gojo was able to hit Sukuna in the back with a red explosion and then combine further. He even hit him with a peculiar black flash that knocked him unconscious. However, that thing allowed the Maharaga Wheel to make one final spin, then freeing the Shikigami, who slashed at Gojo’s chest.
Starting in Chapter 233, we see everyone nervous to see Maharaga again, however, Yuuji is still full of hope. He said that even if Maharaga has adapted to Infinity it is still on par with Gojo, and even if he is injured, he can still recover very quickly.
Yuuji has obviously experienced Black Lightning before so I think he’s confident that Gojo can still heal that fatal wound. However, at the same time, Shoko responds to Yuuji, who says that Yuuji isn’t right because Gojo’s wound must have taken longer than expected.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233: Summary and Review
While she was certain that Gojo could still use the Reverse Curse technique in addition to shooting “Red”, his performance was definitely dropping. She also said that it happened to Sukuna too because his brain was also damaged.
So this almost sets a limit or another countdown where both fighters need to beat each other before the healing effect of either of them wears off. The worrying thing is that Shoko smoked a ton of cigars because of Gojo’s current situation. If you remember, she quit smoking for about five years and then smoked again in Shibuya.

Even with the strongest in history, the Cursed King as his opponent, everyone thought that this idea was, in some sense, impossible, but at this point, the possibility of Gojo Satoru lost away the mind of witches and the same thought came to Gojo himself.
At the same time, Toji immediately broke down in his head. Although the signs of defeat are approaching, something else is more evident in Gojo. It was the “satisfaction”, the loneliness that came from being the strongest, and what was filling him right now was……
This ends here, but I think we all know that he will probably say “Sukuna”. Sukuna is the one who fills in Gojo’s loneliness, which comes from being the strongest, and apparently, the same applies to Sukuna, as they both feel content with each other.
I also like the way Gojo thinks of Toji the last time he felt on the verge of losing. It’s even more impressive when we just saw their fight come to life in Season 2.
We see Gojo shaking hands with Maharaga. He is clearly dominating in melee combat. Gojo then continues reading a definite chance to get his product back. This may be similar to what we saw with Hollow Purple in Chapter 223. It may not be exactly the same, but Sukuna suddenly regained consciousness and activated Megumi’s Rabid Escape technique.
Gojo still manages to launch an attack with the Red Devil, but it only damages the surrounding area and helps Maharaga escape. Gojo realizes that Sukuna is protecting Maharaga and uses it to “attack” as it has adapted to Infinity.
