Well, another post by a JJK animator has added to the controversy, causing the fan community to receive even more backlash.
Jujutsu Kaisen was already a popular manga series but it became an international phenomenon when MAPPA launched its anime adaptation in 2020. However, the ongoing second season shows that the animation quality is even better better than what we saw in the first season.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has become a grand spectacle thanks to its brilliant animation. Furthermore, fans cannot ignore the eye-catching battle scenes that continuously appear in each episode.
Generally, whenever an anime/series becomes a trending topic in the community, it is because of the animation or related elements. However, recently JJK has been in the news because of the animation studio and not for the right reasons.
Jujutsu Kaisen animator’s dark post makes fans worried
One of MAPPA’s animators, who was mainly involved in the production of JJK Season 2, shared a post on X/Twitter saying: ‘ I want to quickly stop working ‘. However, the post was removed from the media after 14 minutes. The post somehow went viral on Instagram so when it was quickly deleted, fans began to worry about the animator’s health.
We are familiar with the issues surrounding MAPPA, be it the perceived toxic environment or the payment negotiations. Additionally, the studio has some strict NDA contracts in place, which may be one of the biggest reasons why the animator had to remove posts from social media.
Previously, the famous animator in the industry also worked on several influential titles such as One Piece shared with their followers on X that they never want to work for MAPPA in the future. Besides them, there is another animator whose artwork reveals the disturbed mental health of the studio employees. However, it is worth mentioning that we do not have any concrete evidence or official statement from MAPPA regarding these allegations.
