Jujutsu Kaisen 0the prequel to the series Jujutsu Kaisenwill be adapted into a stage play, scheduled to premiere in December in Tokyo. Titled'Jujutsu Kaisen Stage 0 WITH LIVE BAND', the play will also be performed in Osaka in January 2025.
This upcoming play marks the third stage play to be adapted in Jujutsu Kaisen Seriesbut this will be the first series to feature a live band.
Yuki Ogoe will play Yuta Okkotsu, the story's protagonist, while Ray Fujita will reprise his role as the villain Suguru Geto.
A teaser image for the play has also been revealed. It features Yuta, along with the cursed spirit of his childhood friend Rika Orimoto and the villain Suguru Geto.
Kensaku Kobayashi will be directing the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 WITH LIVE BAND Stage, with Kohei Kiyasu in charge of the script.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Based on Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, the prequel manga to the main series, Jujutsu Kaisen. It was written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Jump GIGA magazine from April to July 2017.
After Akutami's debut Jujutsu Kaisen In 2018, the series was renamed again. Jujutsu Kaisen 0anh>—making it a prequel—and was released as a single tankōbon volume in December 2018.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 received an anime film adaptation by MAPPA, directed by Sunghoo Park, and premiered in Japan in December 2021.
