Japanese idol group JO1 and Sanrio's collaboration character JOCHUM will receive an anime television series that will premiere this summer 2024. The anime will air on Fuji TV's Saturday edutainment program MEZAMASHI.

Hazumu Sakuta (Sumikko Gurashi Sorairo no Mainichi) will direct the anime and Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu, Yokai Watch) will serve as screenwriter and scriptwriter. FANWORKS will be responsible for animation production.
JOCHUM includes 11 characters representing each member of JO1 and a corresponding Sanrio mascot, all living in a single house. They include the black fox PiHai (Sukai Kinjo), the blue fox Rain (Ren Kawashiri), the microphone Micoon (Junki Kono), the rabbit Chimata (Syoya Kimata), the dragon Yanukami (Sho Yonashiro), Mamechi the corgi (Issei Mamehara). ), Penguin Pop-poh (Takumi Kawanishi), Chihuahua Chulala (Shion Tsurubo), angel Moco (Shohei Ohira), white dog Ruru (Ruki Hiroiwa) and sunflower Bira (Keigo Sato).
JO1 was first formed when Lapone Entertainment's reality show Produce 101 aired in 2019. The band debuted in 2020 and they first collaborated with Sanrio to create JOCHUM characters in 2022.
