Hachette handles North American print distribution, Diamond Book Distributors handles international releases Image via Yen Press
J-Novel Club today announced that it has reached a print distribution agreement with Hachette Book Group through Yen Press and Diamond Book Distributors. Hachette will distribute all J-Novel Club backlist and backlist titles in North America while Diamond Book will handle international sales.
New releases through June 30, 2024 will still be available through J-Novel Club, after which new inventory will be available through Hachette. This will not affect the digital release of J-Novel Club.
All books will be listed for sale under the “JNC” brand of Yen Press and will appear on the Edelweiss service as “Yen Press/JNC.” Brand on the book for titles published by J-Novel Club direct production will continue to have the full company logo, and titles produced by Yen Press under the “JNC” brand will continue to use the simplified “JNC” logo.
Previews of future releases will no longer span the calendar year due to a new solicitation schedule.
J-Novel Club recently licensed the novels I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin and Zilbagias the Demon Prince as well as the manga Death’s Daughter and the Ebony Blade and The Banished Veteran Lives as He Pleases among other titles .
