The upcoming 43rd issue (2024) of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits will see the start of a new serialization titled Shisutarejisuta, featuring Insomniacs After School author Makoto Ojiro is an artist, composer and director of the anime series Mari Okada (Maboroshi, Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms) as author.
Described as an “Idol x Family” manga, Shisutarejisuta will focus on people who make costumes for idols. The story will revolve around a specific family.

The 43rd issue of Big Comic Spirits will go on sale in Japan on September 20 JST.
Ojiro's previous manga, Insomniacs After School, ran in Big Comic Spirits magazine from 2019 to 2023. It follows two insomniac students who meet by chance and revive their school's astronomy club. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that aired during the spring 2023 anime season.
Okada's manga writing credits include WIXOSS infected selector-Re/verse-, WIXOSS infected selector-peep analysis-, WIXOSS stirred selector and her original creation O Maidens in Your Savage Season. For anime, she has served as composer and/or scriptwriter for numerous works including Anohana, Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, Toradora, Mobile Suit Gunma: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the WIXOSS anime, O Maidens in Your Savage Season, A Whisker Away and the upcoming Fureru anime adaptation.
