The manga-only content in Jujutsu Kaisen features epic, emotionally complex battles that go beyond expectations. Yuji takes center stage as an unstoppable force, showcasing the growth and deepening of the series' relationships.
There are spoilers ahead for the Jujutsu Kaisen manga up to chapter #265. Things have changed a lot. Jujutsu Kaisen since the Shibuya Incident arc, but I liked it. The manga's unexpected twists have been received mixed by its loyal fans. However, recent developments leading to Jujutsu Kaisen's imminent end have also made me rethink the direction it was going — in a good way..
The second anime season of Jujutsu Kaisen ends after the Shibuya Incident. It's beautiful and suspenseful, but the most controversial decisions of Jujutsu Kaisen all take place after that, in what is currently manga-only. I know a few anime-only fans have stopped reading the manga because of the way it's been discussed online, so with the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen coming up, I wanted to give you a reason why. Jujutsu Kaisen is in better shape than ever.
The stakes of Jujutsu Kaisen only get higher.

The biggest moments in the series all take place after the Shibuya Incident. The world is really chaos after thatand curses roam free. This setting provides the backdrop in which Jujutsu Kaisen's relationships will deepen, its conflicts become more intense, and Their bets are the highest they have ever been..
Executing Yuji now becomes a top priority, forcing him to fake his death once more. Megumi's sister then becomes the center of a battle royal organized by Kenjaku called the Culling Game, which Megumi convinces Yuji to join in order to help rescue her. The events that follow lead to the Shinjuku Showdown arc, where Sukuna takes over Megumi's body and then battles another witch. Kenjaku and Sukuna's goal is to to unite all life in Japan with Master Tengenwhom Sukuna intended to fight after everything was over, while Kenjaku was clearly just curious to see what the outcome of the merger would be.
The fight just keeps getting better
Few series use Battle more effectively than Jujutsu Kaisen
“Hype” alone does not make a good shōnen battle. Any veteran anime fan knows that a “hype” battle will fall flat unless the battle and its setting are interesting. A shōnen battle that tries to be “hype” is only as valuable as the characters and scenarios it sets up.. Jujutsu Kaisen has always been a particularly anticipated franchise, but it has been even more prominent in the installments following the Shibuya Incident.
The manga-only part of Jujutsu Kaisen has some great fights. Aside from the excitement and anticipation, The set-up situations can be very creative.. My favorite example of this so far is between Kenjaku and Takaba. Taking place between a comedian turned sorcerer and a cursed spirit user who has taken over the body of Suguru Geto, the battle is one of the more emotionally complex battles in Jujutsu Kaisen, as Takaba's technique puts the two in many dangerous confrontations disguised as comedic situations.
The long-awaited, explosive battle between Satoru Gojo and Sukuna finally takes place. What's amazing, however, is the steady momentum of most of the fights that are unique to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. While not every fight is as exciting as the one between Gojo and Sukuna, none of them are any less exciting. They skillfully weaves into the broader struggle at handEmotional character building and efficient (but realistic) use of the resources available to mages – often even other mages.
Yuji regains attention
But more than that, he shows why he is the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen
This excellence in structuring the series' battles extends to Yuji. In fact, they make him the glorious protagonist that viewers and readers have always hoped he would be. For a while, Yuji took a backseat in the manga, much to the chagrin of fans who felt the series was becoming unfocused. However, a recent series of major power-ups has shows that Yuji is an unstoppable force. He unleashes multiple Black Flash attacks on Sukuna and even expands his territory in one of the most satisfying moments of the series.
He was also awarded a much more important attachment to its allies, the world and its interests. For Sukuna, the revelation that Yuji is the son of his reincarnated twin brother is shocking. For Megumi, Yuji accepting her offer to join the Culling Game and save his sister would deepen the bond between the two. After Sukuna takes over Megumi's body, the irreplaceable bond between the two certainly played a role in Yuji's decision to make a binding oath so that his Dismantle could have a chance to separate them without harming Megumi.
As things progress, Yuji teams up with other magicians, including some new and adorable faces like Hiromi Higurama. In a crucial intervention, his best friend Todo even shows up to save the day, which is where the manga leaves us for now. Yuji's strength and depth only continue to grow. When brought back into full view, Yuji proves that, despite much debate that a certain character is the true protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, he is still the victor.

Tackling difficult topics that put Jujutsu Kaisen in a difficult position

A person's life and legacy lie in the fragments he leaves behind—that is what gives meaning to both life and death.
During the aforementioned expansion of Yuji's domain, several core themes were articulated, giving important reasons for all the decisions Jujutsu Kaisen made – even the most painful or questionable things. In Yuji's realm, he talks about how his perspective on life and death has changed. Essentially, he has realized that the manner or means of a person's death is not important, compared to the fragments that person leaves behind that are scattered throughout the world.
Jujutsu Kaisen has never been a franchise that is afraid to kill off characters. Many believe that the sheer number of dead mages left in the endless destruction is too much. In fact, I think this unfortunate path of carnage Reaffirming one of the most difficult themes of Jujutsu Kaisen:a person's life and legacy lie in the fragments he leaves behind of himself — that is what gives meaning to both life and death.
Gojo's death and failure to shut down Sukuna disappointed many of his fans, and the fact that it happened right after he was released from Prison Realm made things worse. However, something that happened afterward was reminiscent of Yuji's expansion of his domain: Yuta, a former student of Gojo and Yuji's sworn executioner, Takes over Gojo's body as part of a massive attack against Sukuna.
Not to disrespect Gojo, but rather handled with grace and skill. Yuta attempts to harness Gojo's power through his copying technique. However, since Yuta is unfamiliar with Gojo's Limitless, he is unable to perfectly copy Gojo's technique. Not to tarnish Gojo's body and memory, but rather – in a strange, devious way – actually a Gojo celebration.
Yuji, at this point, is just the shattered remains of beloved dead characters.
In chapter #265, I saw the faces of wonderful characters that I had resented and believed had been taken away from me by bad or brutal writing. For example, Nanami and Nobara are my all-time favorite characters. In that moment, I realized that the writing was just so brutal that I didn't want to grasp another, more important message: The series' central meditation on pain and meaning. Yuji, at this point, is just the remains of beloved dead characters.
In essence, I felt that this journey was worth it – they were rekindled, the personal reasons why I stuck with Jujutsu Kaisen in the first place. They weren't the only people who died in the series, but they were the ones I got to know, and their memories stuck with me. So when Yuji remembered them, I felt a glimmer of what he felt when he called upon the memories of his friends to boldly but indirectly tell Sukuna that he didn't care how he died. but for the pieces he will leave behind.
When Yuji nonchalantly tells Sukuna that he could kill him if he doesn't leave Megumi's body, while expressing his pity, Sukuna's cruel reaction signals the end of the journey is near.. The emotional toll has been totaled, Yuji is at his strongest ever, and the final battle is just around the corner. With the exact date for the series ending announced, I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat, grateful for taking the time to catch up. Jujutsu Kaisen.
