High Card Season 2 – Preview episode 1
The anime is part of the High Card multimedia project by Homura Kawamoto, Hikaru Mono and TMS. The first season of the anime television adaptation aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2023. Studio Hibari is producing the animation for the television anime while Junichi Wada is directing. Naoki Kuroyanagi is supervising the series composition and Ryo Takahashi is composing the music. FIVE NEW OLD will perform the opening song “Showdown” and Raon will sing the ending song “Daydream”. The cast of the first season will reprise their roles:

After discovering that his orphanage is about to close due to financial strain, Finn, who has been living freely on the streets, sets off to a casino with the aim of making money.
However, nothing could prepare Finn for the nightmare that awaited him. Once there, Finn encounters a car chase and a bloody shootout caused by a man’s “lucky” card.
Finn will eventually learn what the gunfight is about. The world order can be controlled by a set of 52 X-Playing cards with the power to bestow various superhuman powers and abilities on those who possess them. With these cards, people can access the hidden power of the “friend” that can be found within them.
There is a secret group of players called High Card, who are directly ordered by King Fourland to collect the cards that have been scattered around the kingdom, while moonlighting as employees of an umbrella manufacturer. Pinochle luxury bowl.
Recruited to become the fifth member of the group, Finn soon joins the players on a dangerous quest to find these cards.

A frantic battle between these card-obsessed players, motivated by justice, lust and revenge, is about to begin!
