The Eminence In Shadow Season 2 Debuts Voice and Subs at Anime Expo
The Eminence in Shadow revolves around the strange story of Cid Kagenō, a high school student who wakes up in a fantasy world where every random idea he comes up with comes true. This leads to him becoming the superhero “Shadow”, the masked leader of a harem-style group of female freedom fighters who fight against a plague of demonic possession known as the “Diablos Cult”. One of the flagship series in AMC’s growing Japanese export collection through their HIDIVE subsidiary acquired early last year, The Eminence in Shadow is an imaginative fantasy. The statue, oddly grown-up, makes spirited commentary on the dangers of living one’s dream while sporting white action-knuckle from the Nexus animation studio.
Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Adapts to the Red Moon Event
The “Red Moon Incident” slated to be adapted in The Eminence in Shadow Part 2 is one of the key events in the series’ plot, as many of the characters Cid meets on misguided adventures. Her team rallies around a violent metropolis known as the “Lawless City” in an attempt to subdue the Vampire Queen sleeping in her coffin deep within the city. Lawless City is also patrolled by three rather sober, super-powered crime bosses: Yukime the Spirit Fox, Juggernaut the Tyrant, and the vampire Crimson. On top of that, Cid still believes that the whole experience is an imaginative role-playing adventure, which could lead to some tragic and unforeseen consequences for him as the story progresses.
With part 2 of the hit series set to premiere in front of a large audience at Anime Expo, Eminence in Shadow is poised to be an anime hitter. Prominence in the dark season 2 could be one of the biggest releases of the year, so fans of the series going to Anime Expo are sure to get a real treat when the second installment of HIDIVE’s hit series premieres on July 1st.
