Hell’s Paradise will return on April 8 on Shonen Jump+.
According to Shonen Jump News (@/WSJ_manga), Hell’s Paradise mangaka Yuji Kaku will pen a new one-shot for the series. Fans can read the one-shot on the Shonen Jump+ service on April 8. Anime News Network reported that the title of the one-shot is Jigokuraku Tokubetsuhen: Mokke no Mori, which roughly translates to Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Special Edition: Forest of the Unexpected.
Hell’s Paradise began serialization in January 2018 and ended in January 2021. As of August 2018, the series became one of the most popular series on the Shōnen Jump+ app and has more than 10. 1 million copies were released in June 2019. The manga has sold over 4 million copies as of December 2022. Kaku’s series has received critical acclaim for its detailed and beautiful artwork. , and while the series isn’t afraid to portray violence and gore, Hell’s Paradise exhibits the emotional storytelling and complex characterization that made the series such a compelling story.

Hell’s Paradise is an anime adaptation produced by MAPPA (Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Yuri!!! on Ice and Jujutsu Kaisen), which began airing on April 1. Kaori Makita, who worked on the productions. Other MAPPA productions, such as Banana Fish and Terror in Resonance, will direct the 13-episode series. Akira Kindaichi, who worked on God of High School and Lupine the Third Part 6, will write the script alongside Yoshiaki Dewa, who wrote the songs for My Hero Academia and Food Wars! will compose. Ringo Sheen and the Millennium Parade sang the opening theme song “W●RK” and Uru sang the ending song “Kamihitoe.”
Set in the Edo period, Hell’s Paradise opens with a ninja named Gabimaru, nicknamed Gabimaru the Hollow for his ability to slaughter people without any emotion. Despite his increasing and increasingly violent attempts to execute him, Gabimaru has always survived each and every one of them and longs for one day he will eventually die. Instead, his newest executioner, Sagiri from the famed Yamada Asaemon, took it upon himself to ask the ninja why he wanted to live despite his insistence that he had nothing to live for. After discovering Gabimaru’s longing to find his wife, Sagiri recruited him on a suicide mission to obtain the Elixir of Immortality along with a group of other criminals on death row.
