According to manga author Yuji Kaku, the New Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku project is underway. It’s unclear whether this is related to the upcoming second season of the anime or manga. Kaku’s post read: October is about to end in the blink of an eye amid my busy schedule… The end of the year is busy with all sorts of things, isn’t it? Various announcements related to Hell’s Paradise: Jigoku Raku are also planned to proceed. Kaku also revealed a new Halloween illustration, along with many other manga and light novels to celebrate the season. The light novel series Classroom of the Elite released gorgeous illustrations of the second-year students, Spice and Wolf got a witch-themed Holo, and Re:Zero’s Rem, Ram, and Emilia received images new anime.

The first of the new Hell’s Paradise projects could be new information about season 2, which was announced with a trailer on July 1, 2023. Season 1 encountered production problems but Eric Himmelheber of Anime Corner gave the season a strong recommendation in its anime review, calling it “definitely one of the best new anime of 2023.” The opening theme song, “Work,” by Ringo Sheena and Millennium Parade was also among Anime Corner’s top Anime Opening Picks of Spring 2023.
Yuji Kaku’s Jigokuraku manga was published on Shueisha’s online Shonen Jump+ platform from January 22, 2018 to January 25, 2021 and collected into 13 tankobon volumes. The manga spawned an anime adaptation by Studio MAPPA that aired from April to July 2023. The manga had over 4 million copies in circulation as of October 2023.
