Hello Kitty is one of the most recognizable mascots in the world, and one of the cutest kittens in the world (despite not actually being a cat). Now, another wave of minifigures is making the world's cutest cat even cuter—by turning her into an actual cat.
The second series in the collaboration between Sanrio and mofusand, these little capsule toys are beyond adorable. Combining Sanrio mascots like Hello Kitty and Kuromi with real cats, the playful cats are all enjoying their favorite fruit snacks. Available now, the collectibles prove that the only thing cooler than cats… is more cats.
Mofusand Continues Sanrio's Cutest Collaboration Ever
Like mofusand's previous Hello Kitty and Sanrio series, this new wave of collaborative collectibles is sure to give fans their daily dose of Vitamin C. mofusand's products typically feature cats wearing hats and helmets while doing adorable things, and this one is no exception. Instead of shrimp hats, bunny ears, or shark costumes, these cats are all wearing outfits and hats based on various Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty. So there's a white kitten that's basically just a realistic figurine of Hello Kitty herself.
Aside from smiling and looking cute, the cats were also photographed happily eating fruit. Hello Kitty can be seen munching on a watermelon, while her friends Kuromi, My Melody, Hangyodon, and Pekkle are seen eating a blueberry, a cherry, a kiwi, and a lemon. As noted, this is the second crossover between the mofusand concept and Sanrio mascots, with the previous batch of collectible figurines launching in May in Japan. The current batch is available wherever you find capsule toys, priced at 500 yen (about $3.50) each. In addition to Hello Kitty and friends, collectors can also get their hands on other mofusand products, including lazy, relaxed orangutans and video game hero Kirby.
