Fans of the Transformers franchise who collect toys from the franchise are about to be hit by a wave of scammers.
Hasbro Pulse has released a new video showcasing the Transformers: Legacy Titan Class Tidal Wave action figure. This toy is the only Titan Class figure of the Transformers: Legacy: United toy line, making it the largest toy in the wave. Tidal Wave’s size made sense based on his design in the animated series Transformers: Armada, where he teamed up with Megatron, and this feature is still featured in the new toy.

The new Tidal Wave figure is one of Legacy’s biggest Transformers: Toys yet
As seen in the video, the Tidal Wave figure from the Transformers: Legacy toy line is absolutely massive. Dwarfing even the Commander Class Magmatron figure, this toy (like the original) is made up of three components (Dark Fleet). This trio of battleships combine into one giant ship, transforming it into Tidal Wave’s robot mode. Likewise, segments of the mighty Decepticon could crossover with Transformers: Legacy Armada Universe Megatron, which emulates a key part of the anime.
In Transformers: Armada (known as Transformers: Micron Densetsu in Japan), Tidal Wave’s “Tidal Phase” allows him to fuse with Megatron into a weapon-filled form known as Burning Megatron. This is also compatible with Megatron’s upgraded/recolored Galvatron form, which was later rumored to have his own Transformers: Legacy figure. The video also highlights that Tidal Wave’s new toy is accurate to the anime’s design and color scheme, while the classic Hasbro version of the original toy has a slightly different color set.

Transformers: Legacy used several anime characters from Transformers
The purpose of the Transformers: Legacy line is to provide new toys for characters who haven’t had an action figure in years (or in some cases, decades). Many of these come from different Transformers anime titles, meaning their first toys may never have been officially released in the US market. Examples include Tasmanian Kid from Beast Wars II: Transformers (whose original toy was almost completely identical to the Snarl figure from Beast Wars), Nemesis Leo Prime repainted for a character from the same series, and the Commander figure The aforementioned Magmatron class represents Beast Wars Neo: Transformers. Likewise, the Unicron Trilogy anime has been very well represented and not just through Tidal Wave.
Optimus Prime, Megatron, Hot Shot and Starscream toys from Transformers: Armada were also released, with Amazon having an exclusive “Powerlinx Hot Shot” that comes with his Mini-Con partner, Jolt. Likewise, Transformers: Energon features a small Megatron Core Class Energon Universe figure, while Transformers: Cybertron features new toys for both Override and the mighty Metroplex. The latter himself is a Titan Class toy, making him the same size as the new Tidal Wave figure.
