Hanashi Media briefly describes the series as follows:
Having a special gift to his own detriment, Prince Cecil has always found life boring. One ordinary day, his life takes an unexpected turn when he gets engaged to Miss Bertia, the Prime Minister's daughter. However, this engagement was far from typical.
“Prince Cecil! I must confess – I am the villain in this story!” Bertia's statement was astonishing. She claims to have memories of a past life where she was the villain in an “Otome game”. Her noble ambition is to become an excellent villain and thus her engagement is canceled. However, despite her plans for various misdeeds, her efforts are always unsuccessful.
Was her fiancé, who longed to master the villain's ingenuity, simply misguided in his efforts?
